BSRDC Overview
Bihar State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (BSRDC), a Government of Bihar Undertaking, was incorporated on 20th April, 2009 under the Companies Act, 1956, with an objective to carry out, improve, work, develop, administer, manage, control or maintain in Bihar and elsewhere all types of roads, highways, express routes, paths, streets, bridges, sideways, tunnels, and other infrastructure.
BSRDC also develops works and conveniences, approach roads, sheds, temporary dwelling huts in case of calamity or emergency pertaining to all departments of Government of Bihar or any other department, agency, organization, or body through the Road Construction Department (RCD) directly.

Organizational Setup
BSRDC operates with a lean and agile organizational structure headed by the Chairman (Development Commissioner, GoB) and managed by the Managing Director, IAS. Project Implementation Units (PIUs) are strategically deployed across Bihar to ensure on-site monitoring and quality control.
- Technical Wing: Chief General Manager, General Managers, Deputy General Managers, and Executive Engineers.
- Finance & Accounts Wing: DGM (Finance), Senior Accounts Officers ensuring fiscal prudence and ADB loan compliance.
- Land Acquisition & Resettlement Cell: Dedicated nodal officers coordinating with district administrations for time-bound clearances.
- Quality Assurance & Road Safety Cell: Independent third-party audit and safety inspections adhering to IRC standards.
